Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Headless map view model. The math a map island needs — bounds, centre, zoom — with no map library and no DOM. Hand the answer to MapLibre, Leaflet, or whatever you like: swapping the renderer changes nothing here.

Three decisions. Junk is dropped, not plotted — a point without finite, in-range coordinates would otherwise land off the coast of Africa. The centre is the box centre, not the average, so one outlier can't drag the view. A single point has no box, so it gets pointZoom (default 14) instead of a meaningless fit.

Zoom is standard Web-Mercator tile math (256px tiles), so the number means the same thing to MapLibre and Leaflet.
