Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Readme

@keyline-icons/react

1,332 icons on one 24×24 grid, as React components. Built for shadcn/ui, free under MIT.

keylineicons.com to browse the full set.

npm i @keyline-icons/react
import { ArrowUpRight, Check, Menu } from "@keyline-icons/react"

export function Example() {
  return (
    <>
      <Check className="size-4" />
      <ArrowUpRight size={16} />
      <Menu strokeWidth={1.5} />
    </>
  )
}

Props

Every icon takes the standard SVGProps<SVGSVGElement> plus size:

| Prop | Default | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | | size | 24 | Sets both width and height. Takes a number or a CSS length. | | strokeWidth | 2 | The set is drawn at 2 on a 24 grid. | | className | | Tailwind's size-* overrides size, since it wins on specificity. |

Colour comes from currentColor, so the icons inherit whatever text-* is in scope. There is no provider, no context and no theme object.

Notes

Four styles, two corner treatments, eight entry points.

import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react"          // stroke,  1,332 icons
import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react/two-tone" // two-tone, 1,332 icons
import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react/duotone"  // duotone, 1,332 icons
import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react/fill"     // fill,    1,332 icons

import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react/sharp" // the same four,
import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react/sharp/two-tone"  // cut sharp,
import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react/sharp/duotone" // with butt caps and
import { Bell } from "@keyline-icons/react/sharp/fill"     // square corners

Sharp covers exactly the names the rounded entry point beside it does, and the export is called the same thing in both, so switching a file over is a change to the import path and nothing else.

Separate imports rather than one component with a weight prop, so an app ships only the styles it imports. Since 1.0.0 all four cover every name. two-tone is what /duotone exported until 0.9.0, the outline over a 40% plate; /duotone now has no outline, a grey body with the detail at full strength. If you imported /duotone before 1.0.0 and want the old look, change the path to /two-tone.

Every icon also answers to its name plus Icon. CheckIcon is Check, the same component rather than a copy, in every entry point. It is the form shadcn/ui's own components import, so a project from shadcn/create switches with one find-and-replace on the import path:

import { CheckIcon, ChevronDownIcon } from "@keyline-icons/react"

The one name those components use that the set spells differently is Loader2Icon, which is LoaderCircleIcon here.

Each icon carries its own root attributes rather than inheriting a shared preset. Some drawings are solid by definition, square-half and the other fraction sectors among them, and forcing a stroke onto those paints an outline over every knockout.

sideEffects: false and ESM. Named imports from the single entry point tree-shake in any modern bundler, so an app importing three icons ships three.

Generated, not written. The components come from icons/stroke/*.svg via pipeline/build-react.mjs, which emits this package and the site's own module in one pass so the two cannot drift.
