Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

RMMZ Plugin Template

A modern, production-ready TypeScript template for RPG Maker MZ plugins.

Quick Start

1. Use this template

Click "Use this template" on GitHub or clone it:

git clone https://github.com/KyoPanda/rmmz-plugin-template.git my-awesome-plugin
cd my-awesome-plugin

2. Install & configure

npm install

Edit package.json:

  • Change "name" to your scoped npm name (@yourname/my-plugin)
  • Set "pluginName" to your desired plugin filename (e.g. MyPlugin)
  • Update "namespace", "description", etc.

Set your test project path:

"testProjectDir": "../../MyGameProject"

3. Development

npm run build          # Build + copy to test project
npm test
npm run lint
npm run format

4. Documentation

npm run docs:markdown   # Generate API docs

Docs are automatically generated from JSDoc comments and committed via GitHub Actions.

Releasing
