Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Scoring engine, types, and metric normalization for Lanterna — a CLI-first performance profiler for React Native and Expo apps.

Installation

npm install @lanternajs/core

What's inside

  • Types: MetricSample, Device, ScoreResult, Platform, and all shared interfaces
  • Scoring: Weighted 0-100 score across FPS, CPU, memory, frame drops, and TTI
  • Thresholds: Configurable good/needs-work/poor boundaries per metric
  • Comparison: Baseline diff with regression detection
  • Device detection: Auto-detect connected iOS simulators and Android emulators
  • Heuristics: React Native-specific metric analysis

Usage

This package is primarily used internally by other @lanternajs/* packages. If you're building custom tooling on top of Lanterna's scoring engine:
