Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v1.0.1

Published

MCP server for Larkin wallet authorization checks.

Readme

@larkinsh/mcp

MCP server exposing Larkin's wallet authorization check as a tool for AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, and any MCP-aware host).

Provides one tool: check_wallet — authorizes an EVM wallet before processing its x402 payment. Returns a 0-100 trust score, an allow/deny/surcharge decision, a 5-dimension scoring breakdown, and an Ed25519-signed receipt verifiable with @larkinsh/verify.

Install

The server is designed to run via npx:

npx @larkinsh/mcp

It speaks MCP over stdio. Set LARKIN_API_KEY in the environment of the spawning process; the value of chain_id defaults to 1 (Ethereum mainnet) when the caller omits it.

Configure in Claude Desktop

Add to your claude_desktop_config.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "larkin": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@larkinsh/mcp"],
      "env": {
        "LARKIN_API_KEY": "pf_live_..."
      }
    }
  }
}

Other MCP hosts (Cursor, custom clients) follow the same shape — spawn npx -y @larkinsh/mcp and pipe an LARKIN_API_KEY env var.

Tool reference

check_wallet

| Field | Type | Required | Description | |---|---|---|---| | wallet | string | yes | EVM wallet address (0x-prefixed, 42 chars). | | chain_id | integer | no (default 1) | EVM chain ID. 1=Ethereum, 8453=Base. |

Returns the data payload of POST https://larkin.sh/api/v1/check — score, breakdown, decision, surcharge multiplier, and signed receipt.

Environment variables

| Variable | Required | Default | Notes | |---|---|---|---| | LARKIN_API_KEY | yes | — | Your pf_live_* key from https://larkin.sh/dashboard. | | LARKIN_BASE_URL | no | https://larkin.sh | Override for self-hosted or staging deployments. |

Programmatic use

import { createServer } from "@larkinsh/mcp";
import { StdioServerTransport } from "@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/server/stdio.js";

const server = createServer({ apiKey: process.env.LARKIN_API_KEY! });
const transport = new StdioServerTransport();
await server.connect(transport);
