Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

LeavePulse token-driven Vue component kit.

Readme

@leavepulse/ui

Token-driven Vue 3 component kit for LeavePulse — components on reka-ui and Tailwind CSS v4, a runtime theme engine (themes are JSON token sets), and a composable block-layout canvas.

Install

The kit is consumed by the LeavePulse apps via a file:/git dependency. It needs the peer deps it declares (vue, reka-ui, tailwindcss, tailwind-variants, tailwind-merge, motion-v, @iconify/vue).

Usage

Styling follows the @nuxt/ui model: the consuming app owns Tailwind, the kit contributes its @theme tokens and a @source over its own components. In your app's main CSS:

@import "tailwindcss";
@import "@leavepulse/ui/css";

Then use the components:

<script setup lang="ts">
import { LpButton, LpModal } from "@leavepulse/ui"
</script>

The kit does not ship a precompiled stylesheet — your Tailwind build emits the utilities its components use, scoped via the @source globs in the CSS entry.

Native scrollbar skin (opt-in)

LpScrollArea skins the scroll it owns. For everything it can't — the page itself, sticky panels, code blocks — opt the whole app into the same look by importing the native scrollbar skin. It styles the browser's own scrollbars (brand thumb, thin, rounded) without a container, so sticky positioning, scroll restoration and anchor jumps keep working:

@import "tailwindcss";
@import "@leavepulse/ui/css";
@import "@leavepulse/ui/scrollbar.css"; /* after the tokens — reads --color-brand */

Hide a specific scrollbar with the lp-scrollbar-none class.

Develop

bun install # also builds dist via the prepare hook
bun run dev # live preview/playground on http://127.0.0.1:4500
bun run build # type-check + build the library to dist/
bun run dev:dist # rebuild dist on change (for a linked consumer)

dist/ is generated, not committed — the prepare hook rebuilds it on install so any consumer gets a fresh build.
