Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Loadout

Choose agent skills and instructions for yourself or your team. Loadout configures Codex and Claude Code.

Private kits and selections live in .loadout-personal/, ignored by Git. Add reusable kits to ~/.loadout/kits/ and enable them per repository.

Use it

Requires Node.js 22.13+. Run in any repository:

npm install -g @lidtop/loadout
loadout

Pick your kits, select Review changes, then Apply changes. Run loadout again to change your selection.

Choose Repository for the current project or Global for your user configuration across repositories.

Global kits avoid duplicate repository files; removing them restores the repository copies you selected.

Subscribe to catalogs

loadout catalog add https://example.com/catalog.yaml

See the catalog guide for subscription scopes, offline use, and publishing.

Share kits with your team

loadout init

Add kits under .loadout/kits/ and commit the collection for your team. Enable Browse → loadout → write-kit for a short guide your agent can use to create kits.

loadout --help lists the commands.
