Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Lightspeed TypeScript Client

Generated TypeScript client for the Lightspeed JSON-RPC gateway.

The public API types and typed method map are generated from the committed contract artifacts in crates/api/contract/. The hand-written code is limited to the JSON-RPC transport and small workflow helpers.

For a complete application walkthrough with authentication, retry identity, events, and results, read API and TypeScript. Durable receivers and custom workers are covered in Workflow tools.

Install

Tagged Lightspeed releases publish @lightspeed-ai/agent-client to npm. In-tree consumers use the repository workspace directly.

npm install @lightspeed-ai/agent-client

Use

import { LightspeedClient } from "@lightspeed-ai/agent-client";

const lightspeed = new LightspeedClient("http://127.0.0.1:18080/rpc");

const session = await lightspeed.call("session/start", {
  sessionId: "session_123",
  config: null,
});

const run = await lightspeed.startRun(
  session.result.session.id,
  [{ type: "text", text: "summarize this repository" }],
);

const terminal = await lightspeed.awaitRun(session.result.session.id, run.result.run.id);

console.log(terminal.state.status, terminal.cursor);

Raw calls return the full AgentApiOutcome<...> envelope, including any notifications. JSON-RPC failures throw LightspeedRpcError with code, message, kind, and raw data preserved.

METHOD_INFO exposes the canonical Rust-authored scope, summary, and operational description for every method. The generated rpc.* helpers carry the same text as JSDoc, while parameter and result field documentation comes from the generated schema types.

Regenerate

npm install
npm run check --workspace @lightspeed-ai/agent-client

npm run check:generated regenerates src/generated/* and the packaged schemas, and fails if the committed generated output is stale.

Workflow receivers import @lightspeed-ai/agent-client/workflow. That subpath contains generated emission/start-on-call types and manifest-owned constants, plus Temporal-sandbox-safe parsing, id derivation, workflow-id, recipe, and reply helpers. It has no Temporal package dependency.
