Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@linkoi/worker

v0.1.1

Published

Deploy Linkoi as a Cloudflare Worker with KV caching.

Readme

@linkoi/worker

Linkoi's Hono application for Cloudflare Workers. Requires @linkoi/core and a KV namespace bound as META_CACHE. Developer preview, v0.1.1.

Local development

From the repository root:

npm run build
cd packages/worker
cp wrangler.example.json wrangler.json
npx wrangler dev --config wrangler.json

For a remote deployment, create your own namespace with npx wrangler kv namespace create META_CACHE, then replace the placeholder ID in wrangler.json. Set SELF_HOSTS to your Worker hostname. Set secrets using npx wrangler secret put API_KEY --config wrangler.json and optionally YOUTUBE_API_KEY. Deploy deliberately with npx wrangler deploy --config wrangler.json.

No production account IDs, KV IDs, or secrets are included.

HTTP API

  • GET /?url=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com: { status: "success", data: Metadata, cache: "hit" | "stale" | "miss" | "bypass" }.
  • fresh=true bypasses cache reads and updates the cache.
  • fallback is deprecated and ignored. All extraction uses Linkoi’s own parser.
  • DELETE /?url=... invalidates one cache key.
  • GET /health returns { ok: true }.

When API_KEY is configured, all routes require Authorization: Bearer <key>. Without it, routes including cache invalidation are public. No per-customer authentication, quotas, or rate limiting is included.

Defaults: 2 MiB HTML cap, 5-second per-fetch timeout, 1-day fresh cache, 7-day storage TTL. Configure MAX_HTML_BYTES, FETCH_TIMEOUT_MS, FRESH_TTL_SECONDS, STALE_TTL_SECONDS, and comma-separated SELF_HOSTS through Worker variables.

The Worker default export is the Hono application. resolve(target, env, allowFallback) retains Attolink's adapter signature. Core extraction and response fields remain compatible; unknown YouTube language is now null instead of being assumed English.
