Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.4.15

Published

DSH Web GUI plugin for editing a text-only user message, forking at its preceding event boundary, and resending on the new branch.

@linxin666/dsh-client-ui-message-edit

English | 中文

Adds edit-and-resend for text-only user messages in the DSH Web GUI, using an exact history-prefix fork rather than modifying the source session.

What it does

  • Adds an Edit and resend entry to each Turn tail that contains an ordinary text-only user message, including historical Turns.
  • Forks at the inclusive event boundary immediately before that message, retains and opens the child session, then queues the edited text once.
  • Leaves the source session unchanged and warns that branching does not undo file writes, command execution, or other external side effects.
  • Supports Ctrl/Cmd+Enter to resend and Escape to cancel; running or removed sessions and peers without fork access cannot submit.

Install

From npm (recommended)

dsh plugin --profile web add @linxin666/dsh-client-ui-message-edit@latest

From the repository (development)

git clone https://github.com/zhu1090093659/dsh-web.git
cd dsh-web
pnpm install
pnpm -r build
dsh plugin --profile web add link:$(pwd)/packages/dsh-message-edit

Config

The plugin has no settings. Disable its plugin row to remove the Turn-tail entry. The aggregate row id is web-ui-message-edit; the standalone row id is ui-message-edit.

Known limitations

  • Only ordinary user messages whose content blocks are all text are editable. Steering messages, injected context, empty messages, and messages containing images or files do not show the entry, so attachments are never silently dropped.
  • Editing creates a new branch; it does not rewrite the original log or roll back side effects from later events.
  • A fork failure leaves the source view unchanged. Once a child has been created, a later navigation or prompt failure does not delete that child.
