Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@living-agents/reference

Reference implementation of the Living Agents Protocol (LAP) — the existence layer for always-on AI agents. Implements LIP-1 (Agent Passport), LIP-3 (Scope Algebra v0.4), LIP-4 (Micro-Core), an RFC 6962 Merkle log, and the Sigstore Rekor registration binding.

Install

npm install @living-agents/reference     # Node ≥ 20, zero dependencies
import { verifyMicroCorePassport, verifyRequestSignature, checkInvocation, mintReceipt } from "@living-agents/reference";
// per module: "@living-agents/reference/microcore", "/algebra", "/jws", "/crypto-util", "/merkle-log", "/rekor"

Specification, test vectors, demos and the 15-minute MCP tutorial: https://github.com/atharnouman/living-agents-protocol

Zero dependencies. Node ≥ 20 (native Ed25519). In a repository checkout, run the suite:

node --test test/

The tests verify the deterministic cross-language test vectors in ../output/lip/test-vectors/vectors.json (generated by a Python script; canonical JSON must match byte-for-byte across languages) plus the adversarial scope-algebra cases from LIP-3 §8:

  • passport JWS verification, tamper rejection, wrong-signer rejection, self-ownership rejection path
  • did:key ↔ raw Ed25519 public key round-trip against published hex
  • genesis hash chain reproduction
  • Micro-Core: audience binding, request-signature body+passport binding, act/res/cap invocation checks, signed receipt verification
  • algebra: sub-verb escalation reject (registry DAG), path prefix-escape reject, window-inversion reject, proportional subdivision accept, cross-currency reject, deny-bypass reject (effective sets), sibling budget-replication reject (conservation), depth/decay monotonicity, NFC/case normalization

Modules (src/): crypto-util.js (b64url, base58, did:key, JCS subset, normalization), jws.js (EdDSA compact JWS, passport verification), algebra.js (LIP-3 v0.4 subset checker — sound-but-incomplete by design, canonical-order deterministic), microcore.js (LIP-4 server invariant, idempotency cache, receipts), merkle-log.js (RFC 6962 log, inclusion proofs, salted commitments), rekor.js (Sigstore Rekor registration and verification).
