Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@livynq/installer

The package installer behind livynq plugin add and the Homebridge compatibility plugin. It installs npm packages without npm (so it works inside the single-file Livynq binary):

  • resolves the dependency tree from an npm registry with semver, hoisting where possible and nesting on conflicts;
  • verifies every tarball against the registry's integrity hash;
  • refuses links and paths that escape the package;
  • skips optional dependencies for other platforms;
  • never runs install scripts;
  • writes small shims for packages the host provides (e.g. @livynq/sdk, or homebridge / hap-nodejs).

Also exports the minimal tar reader / writer Livynq uses for packages and backups.
