Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v1.1.0

MCP server for the Lux banking API — gives agents typed bank tools (accounts, payments, cards, crypto, exchange, plans) over the @luxfi/bank client.

Readme

@luxfi/bank-mcp

An MCP server that gives an AI agent typed tools over the Lux banking API. It is a thin adapter over @luxfi/bank: every tool calls one SDK method, so the wire contract, types, and auth are the SDK's — this package adds no logic of its own.

Run

BANK_API_URL=https://api.sandbox.lux.financial \
BANK_TOKEN=<iam-bearer-token> \
npx @luxfi/bank-mcp

Or wire it into a client (e.g. Claude Desktop / Claude Code):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "lux-bank": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@luxfi/bank-mcp"],
      "env": {
        "BANK_API_URL": "https://api.sandbox.lux.financial",
        "BANK_TOKEN": "<iam-bearer-token>"
      }
    }
  }
}

The token authorizes every call as one principal — run one server per user. Point BANK_API_URL at https://api.sandbox.lux.financial to explore against the seeded demo, or https://api.lux.financial for production.

Tools

| Tool | Does | |---|---| | bank_plans, bank_config | Membership ladder; public config + partner disclosure | | bank_overview, bank_accounts, bank_transactions | Dashboard aggregate; account list; activity | | bank_balances, bank_wallet, bank_crypto_prices | Balances; crypto wallet; reference prices | | bank_transfer, bank_pay | Book transfer between own accounts; outbound payment to a beneficiary | | bank_beneficiaries, bank_create_beneficiary | List / register payment recipients | | bank_send_crypto | On-chain send (returns a txHash) | | bank_exchange_quote, bank_exchange | Quote / execute a fiat-FX or crypto conversion | | bank_issue_card, bank_freeze_card, bank_unfreeze_card | Card issuance and controls | | bank_card_account, bank_create_virtual_card, bank_order_virtual_card | The provider-neutral issuer card lifecycle |

Amounts are integers in minor units (cents for fiat, 6-dp for crypto). Errors surface as a tool result carrying the upstream status, never a dropped connection. The interface standard is LP-3040.
