Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

The dlx CLI is a fast, interactive Node.js command-line tool for downloading videos directly from your terminal.

Installation

Install the package globally using npm:

npm install -g @lwshakib/dlx

Or using pnpm:

pnpm add -g @lwshakib/dlx

Usage

Simply run the command from anywhere in your terminal:

dlx

The CLI will prompt you for the video URL and guide you through selecting the quality and format.

Local Development (Build from Source)

If you want to build and run the CLI locally from this repository:

  1. Build the project:

    cd apps/cli
    pnpm install
    pnpm build
  2. Run locally:

    node dist/index.js
  3. Development with hot-reload:

    pnpm dev
  4. Link for global use:

    pnpm link --global
