Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

One provider at the root, typed hooks everywhere else. No boilerplate.


What's in the box

  • CmsProvider: context provider that wraps your component tree with CMS client configuration. getHeaders is called on every request so auth tokens stay fresh.
  • useQuery: reactive data fetching hook. Runs on mount, returns { data, error, loading, refetch }. Preserves existing data on fetch errors to prevent UI flash.
  • useMutation: mutation hook returning [trigger, state]. Loading/error/data tracked per invocation.
  • Stale-closure safe: client re-creates when baseUrl or getHeaders change, so hooks always see the latest config.

Versioning

@lyeve-labs/client-react follows SemVer. While under 1.0, breaking changes bump the minor version; additive changes bump the patch. Every release is logged in CHANGELOG.md.
