Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Machinechat Bridge for Node-RED

Machinechat Bridge forwards Node-RED messages to Machinechat data visualization, monitoring, and analytics applications. Effortlessly upgrade Node-RED flows with web-based user interface, responsive custom dashboards, timeseries data storage, role-based user management, and more.

Manual install with npm

cd ~/.node-red
npm install @machinechat/node-red-node-machinechat-bridge

Screenshot

Host Address: is the hostname or IP address of the machine running Machinechat's software.

Port: is the port address that is used by Machinechat's software to listen for incoming data. Default is 8100.

Unique Identifier: is a number or a string that you choose and will be used to configure how Machinechat’s software will process the Node-RED messages received from this node instance. Messages from nodes with the same identifier will be processed in the same way.

Copy Machinechat Data to Payload: check this box to copy Machinechat data from codec to msg.payload.
