Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

AI Harness

English · Tiếng Việt · 简体中文 · Español

Reusable agent workflows for software development: Requirements → Design → Code → Test → Review.

Give an idea, existing docs or a change request to your AI coding tool. Harness helps it inspect the project, clarify open decisions, implement accepted scope and maintain relevant specs/docs. Use only the roles and skills the task needs.

Works with any project through Core workflows. Optional stack support: Spring Boot, React/Next.js, React Native, Python, Astro and Kubernetes. Stack selection does not choose infrastructure or architecture.

Quick start

Requires Node.js 22+ and your AI coding tool. Run in your project root:

npx --yes @manhd_d/ai-harness init --host codex

Set --host to codex, claude-code, cursor, copilot, gemini-cli or kiro. In your first AI session, invoke harness-start if the host exposes it, or send:

Read .agents/skills/harness-start/SKILL.md and follow it for this project. My task: [task].

The agent inspects the project, asks only missing questions and saves context. Kiro exposes /harness-start; native discovery varies by client. Host guides. npx does not create a global command; use npx --yes @manhd_d/ai-harness check to check integrity.

pip / restricted networks (included in the next reviewed release; PyPI publication requires maintainer setup):

python -m pip install manhd-ai-harness
aih init --host codex

Requires Python 3.9+ and Node.js 22+. The wheel bundles the same JavaScript CLI and assets; it never calls npm or npx. Offline: python -m pip install --no-index --no-deps /path/to/package.whl. Offline install & update · Settings & backup.

Use init --detect for stack detection. Your host runs tests and controls tools, delegation and permissions. Harness owns workflow contracts and evidence formats; hosts or separate drivers execute them. Workflow contracts · Conformance runner.

Where it runs

| AI tool | Environment | Install the tool | Harness setup | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Codex | CLI, IDE or connected cloud workspace | Install | Guide | | Claude Code | Project terminal | Install | Guide | | Cursor | IDE Agent | Install | Guide | | GitHub Copilot | IDE Agent or CLI | Install | Guide | | Gemini CLI | Project terminal | Install | Guide | | Kiro | IDE, CLI or connected Web workspace | Install | Guide |

Local/cloud execution and external inputs depend on the host's actual access. MCP/connector/API connections can supply docs, designs, tickets and evidence under project source policies.
