Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Longdo Map provider for MapConductor React SDK

Readme

@mapconductor/react-for-longdo

Longdo Map provider for the MapConductor React SDK. Renders a Longdo Map (Longdo Map API3, which uses MapLibre GL JS internally) through MapConductor's provider-independent camera, marker, and overlay API, so the same application code can also run on Google Maps, MapLibre, Mapbox, MapTiler, Leaflet, OpenLayers, ArcGIS, Cesium, HERE, or TomTom.

Installation

npm install @mapconductor/react-for-longdo @mapconductor/js-sdk-core @mapconductor/js-sdk-react

The Longdo Map API3 script (which bundles MapLibre GL JS and its Web Worker) is loaded from api.longdo.com on demand — you do not need to install or configure maplibre-gl yourself, and there is no stylesheet to import.

API key

Longdo Map requires a Longdo Map API key that is authorized for the web origin your app is served from (unlike the Android key, which is restricted by package name). Pass it to the view state:

const state = useLongdoViewState({
  apiKey: import.meta.env.VITE_LONGDO,
  mapDesignType: LongdoDesign.Normal,
  cameraPosition,
});

Usage

import {
  LongdoDesign,
  LongdoMapView2D,
  useLongdoViewState,
} from '@mapconductor/react-for-longdo';
import { MapCameraPosition, createGeoPoint } from '@mapconductor/js-sdk-core';

function Map() {
  const state = useLongdoViewState({
    apiKey: import.meta.env.VITE_LONGDO,
    mapDesignType: LongdoDesign.Normal,
    cameraPosition: MapCameraPosition.create({
      position: createGeoPoint({ latitude: 13.7563, longitude: 100.5018 }),
      zoom: 11,
    }),
  });

  return <LongdoMapView2D state={state} />;
}

Map designs

LongdoDesign exposes the standard base layers provided by longdo.Layers:

Normal, Easy, Pastel, PastelGray, Hard, Gray, Light, Night, Dark, Political, Osm, Satellite (SPHERE_IMAGES), Hybrid (SPHERE_HYBRID).

Switch design by updating the view state's mapDesignType.

How it works

Longdo Map API3 renders through an internal MapLibre GL JS map exposed as map.Renderer. This provider bootstraps the base map, camera, and base-layer designs through the Longdo wrapper (longdo.Map) and drives camera control, map events, and all overlays (markers, polylines, polygons, circles, ground images, raster layers) through map.Renderer — the same MapLibre-based renderer architecture used by the other MapConductor MapLibre-family providers.
