Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

n8n-nodes-[service]

This is an n8n community node that provides integration with [SERVICE_NAME].

n8n is a workflow automation platform that allows you to automate tasks across different services.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n documentation.

Community Nodes (recommended)

For users on n8n Cloud or self-hosted n8n:

  1. Go to Settings > Community Nodes
  2. Select Install
  3. Enter @[AUTHOR]/n8n-nodes-[service] in Enter npm package name
  4. Agree to the risks and click Install

After installing, you'll need to restart n8n to see the node.

Manual installation

To get started, install the package in your n8n root directory:

npm install @[AUTHOR]/n8n-nodes-[service]

For Docker-based deployments, add the following line before the font installation command in your n8n Dockerfile:

RUN cd /usr/local/lib/node_modules/n8n && npm install @[AUTHOR]/n8n-nodes-[service]

Credentials

This node requires [SERVICE_NAME] API credentials. You can obtain API credentials from your [SERVICE_NAME] account settings.

Credential setup

  1. Open n8n
  2. Go to Credentials > New
  3. Search for [SERVICE_NAME] API
  4. Enter your credentials:
    • [CREDENTIAL_FIELD_1]: Your [description]
    • [CREDENTIAL_FIELD_2]: Your [description]
  5. Click Save

Operations

The node currently supports the following resources and operations:

  • Get All [RESOURCE]: Retrieve all [resources]
  • Get [RESOURCE]: Get a single [resource]
  • Create [RESOURCE]: Create a new [resource]
  • Update [RESOURCE]: Update an existing [resource]

Usage

Example: Get all [resources]

  1. Add a Manual Trigger node
  2. Add a [DISPLAY_NAME] node
  3. Select [RESOURCE] as the resource
  4. Select Get All as the operation
  5. Configure additional options if needed:
    • Limit: Limit the number of results
    • Offset: Skip a number of results (for pagination)
  6. Execute the workflow

Example: Create a new [resource]

  1. Add a Manual Trigger node
  2. Add a [DISPLAY_NAME] node
  3. Select [RESOURCE] as the resource
  4. Select Create as the operation
  5. Fill in the required fields:
    • [FIELD_1]: [Description]
    • [FIELD_2]: [Description]
  6. Execute the workflow

  • Minimum n8n version: 1.0.0
  • Tested with n8n version: 1.123.4+
  • Node.js version: 20.x or higher
