Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@matchory/coding-style

Shared oxlint, oxfmt, ESLint and TypeScript configuration for Matchory projects.

This is the JavaScript half of matchory/coding-style, a polyglot style package that also ships Pint, PHPStan and Rector presets for PHP (via Composer) and ruff presets for Python. All three share one version number.

pnpm add -D @matchory/coding-style

Published to both npmjs and GitHub Packages as identical bytes, so it resolves whichever registry your .npmrc maps the @matchory scope to. npmjs is canonical and carries provenance.

// oxfmt.config.ts
import { oxfmtBase } from '@matchory/coding-style/oxfmt';

export default { ...oxfmtBase, ignorePatterns: [...oxfmtBase.ignorePatterns, 'storage/**'] };
// oxlint.config.ts — use /oxlint for packages without .vue files
import { oxlintVue } from '@matchory/coding-style/oxlint/vue';

export default { ...oxlintVue, ignorePatterns: ['dist', '.cache'] };
// eslint.config.js
import { withVue } from '@matchory/coding-style/eslint/vue';
import { resolve } from 'node:path';

export default withVue({ tailwindEntryPoint: resolve(import.meta.dirname, 'src/style.css') });
// tsconfig.json
{ "extends": "@matchory/coding-style/tsconfig/vue.json" }

| Export | Use for | |--------------------------|------------------------------------------------------------------| | ./oxfmt | Everything. 4-space indentation, single quotes, 100 columns. | | ./oxlint | TypeScript and JavaScript packages. 73 rules, no Vue plugin. | | ./oxlint/vue | Packages containing .vue files. | | ./eslint | core, withCore() — the non-Vue rule set. | | ./eslint/vue | vue(), withVue(), vueConfigs(). | | ./tsconfig/base.json | Plain TypeScript. | | ./tsconfig/vue.json | Vue applications and component libraries. | | ./tsconfig/node.json | CLIs, GitHub Actions, build scripts. No DOM libs. | | ./tsconfig/strict.json | Extra strictness, composed after a base. |

Two commands ship with the package:

npx matchory-coding-style sync --rc # write .editorconfig, and the rc files if you use them
npx matchory-coding-style verify # check this project actually consumes the presets

ESLint is present only for rules oxlint cannot yet express: the eslint-plugin-vue surface, Tailwind class ordering, and Vue accessibility. Tracked for removal in the Drop ESLint milestone.

See the main README for the full rationale, including why some tools can extend a package and others must copy files.
