Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Loyd Code (lc)

MeetLoyd's coding agent, in your terminal.

npm install -g @meetloyd/code
lc # an interactive session in the current repository
lc --continue # pick this repo's last conversation back up
lc -p "fix the failing test" # one request, print the answer, exit

Any model

Your own vendor key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, DeepSeek, Qwen, Moonshot, GLM, Groq), any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or a self-hosted vLLM. Pointed at a self-hosted endpoint, lc makes no other network call.

lc --provider anthropic --model claude-sonnet-4-6
lc --provider vllm --base-url http://gpu:8000/v1 --model qwen3-coder-30b

The same conversation on your laptop and in your Workbench

Signed in to MeetLoyd (meetloyd login, or MEETLOYD_API_KEY / MEETLOYD_BASE_URL), lc keeps each repository's conversations on the platform: start in a Workbench session, run lc --continue on your laptop, and the other way round. Not signed in, or LOYD_SYNC=off, nothing leaves your machine.

Keys

| Key | Does | |---|---| | @path | attaches a file of the repo to your request (Tab completes it) | | @shot.png, or drop an image file on the terminal | sends the image with your request (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, up to 5 MB) | | !command | runs the command in the repo; its output goes to the model with your next request | | ! alone | shell mode (light blue) until ! again | | \ at the end of a line | continues the request on the next line (a pasted block stays one request) | | Up / Down, Ctrl+R | this repo's past requests, and search through them | | Shift+Tab | ask / auto-edit / plan | | Enter while it works | sends your message to the agent: it reads it at its next step, acknowledges it and adjusts | | Esc | interrupts a request or a command | | Ctrl+Q, /exit | quits (Ctrl+C is left to copy) |

Approvals take one key: y yes, n no, a always (remembered per repository). An edit shows its diff before you approve it.

| Command | Does | |---|---| | /plan | read-only: the model investigates and proposes a plan, nothing changes | | /undo | restores the files the last request changed | | /paste | attaches the image on the clipboard to your next request | | /init | writes LOYD.md, the project memory every session loads | | /<name> | your own command from .loyd/commands/<name>.md ($ARGUMENTS replaced) |

/help lists the rest. For scripts: lc -p "<prompt>" --output-format json.
