Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

n8n-nodes-melious

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use Melious.ai in your n8n workflows.

Melious.ai is a sovereign European AI inference platform offering OpenAI-compatible APIs for chat completions, embeddings, reranking, image generation, and audio transcription — with transparent per-request billing and environmental impact tracking.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Operations

Chat

  • Create Chat Completion — Send messages to a chat model and receive a completion. Supports temperature, max tokens, top P, stop sequences, reasoning effort, and JSON output mode. Optional "simplify" mode returns just the content, usage, environmental impact, and billing cost.

Embeddings

  • Create Embeddings — Generate vector embeddings from text input. Multiple lines are split into individual items, each with its own embedding vector.

Rerank

  • Rerank Documents — Reorder a list of documents by relevance to a query. Returns one item per document with a relevance_score.

Images

  • Generate Image — Create an image from a text prompt. Supports size, quality, style, seed, and count. The generated image is returned as binary data (PNG).

Transcription

  • Transcribe Audio — Transcribe an audio file using a compatible model. Accepts binary input (max 25 MB). Supports language hint, response format, and temperature.

Models

  • Get Many — List all available models on the Melious platform. Optionally include metadata.
  • Get One — Retrieve details for a single model by ID.

Credentials

This node uses the Melious API credential type with Bearer token authentication.

  1. Create an account at melious.ai
  2. Generate an API key at https://melious.ai/account/api/keys — keys start with sk-mel-
  3. In n8n, create a new credential of type Melious API and paste your API key
  4. The credential test will call GET /models to verify connectivity

Compatibility

  • Minimum n8n version: 1.0.0 (requires n8n-workflow ^2.0.0)
  • Tested against n8n 1.x
  • No external runtime dependencies
