Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

RSGL CLI

The command-line compiler and project tooling for the Resourcepack Generation Language (RSGL).

Install

Requires Node.js 20 or newer.

npm install --global @minecraft-resourcepack-helper/rsgl-cli

You can also run a specific version without a global install:

npx --package @minecraft-resourcepack-helper/rsgl-cli rsgl --help

Commands

rsgl init
rsgl build [root|file] [--out <dir>] [--preview] [--watch]
rsgl check [root|file] [--out <dir>]
rsgl watch [root|file] [--out <dir>]

Place rsgl.config.json in a project directory, then run the commands from that directory. Command-line --out overrides the configured outDir without modifying the project file.

The same language, project, external-resource, and ownership semantics are built into the Minecraft Resourcepack Helper VS Code extension. The CLI remains a separately versioned npm artifact for terminal and CI workflows.
