Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Typed Trading 212 public API client

Readme

@mingchuno/trading212-client

Node.js 22.18+ ESM client for the Trading 212 public API. Not yet published.

import { Trading212Client } from '@mingchuno/trading212-client';

const client = new Trading212Client({
  environment: 'demo',
  apiKey: process.env.T212_API_KEY!,
  apiSecret: process.env.T212_API_SECRET!,
});
const summary = await client.account.summary();
const instruments = await client.instruments.search('Apple', 10);
const page = await client.history.page('orders', { limit: 20 });

Namespaces: account, positions, instruments, exchanges, orders, history, reports, deprecatedPies. Methods accept a final { signal } option. history.pages(kind, { maxPages: 10 }) is a bounded async iterator; the final yielded page retains continuation information when the bound is reached. Rate limits can interrupt iteration; use the last continuation to resume.

Set allowTrading: true to enable order placement/cancellation and deprecated Pie mutations. Report requests remain available with trading disabled. orders.place accepts a discriminated order type, positive quantity, and explicit buy/sell side. Limits/stops require their price fields and timeValidity (DAY or GOOD_TILL_CANCEL).

Trading212Error exposes code, status, and optional retryAfterMs. No mutations are retried. OUTCOME_UNKNOWN requires reconciliation, not automatic resubmission. Cancellation success means only that cancellation was requested.

Optional configuration: fetch, timeoutMs (15000), maxWaitMs (5000), readRetries (1). Requests use the fixed selected broker origin. Rate scheduling and caches are per instance; broker limits are per account across all clients. Metadata cache misses share one request/signal.

Generated types are exported from the package root. @mingchuno/trading212-client/generated exports low-level generated functions without the maintained client's safeguards. Prefer the maintained client. API docs: https://docs.trading212.com/api.
