Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@mitii/v8

v2.7.158

Published

Host-neutral Mitii V8 agent runtime (modules + engine).

Readme

@mitii/v8

Host-neutral Mitii agent runtime: intake → understanding → decision policy → repository context → prompt construction → model/tool loop → verification.

The model is never the permission authority. Decision Policy owns routes, grants, approval mode, and verification requirements. Hosts inject ports (filesystem, SQLite, LLM, search, skills, memory).

Install

npm install @mitii/v8

Requires Node.js 20+. License: AGPL-3.0-or-later.

Most apps should use @mitii/sdk (createMitiiClient) instead of wiring pipelines by hand. Use this package when you need the V8 modules/ports directly.

Quick start

import {
  AgentEnginePipeline,
  EchoLlmPort,
  RequestIntakePipeline,
  RequestUnderstandingPipeline,
  DecisionPolicyPipeline,
  PromptConstructionPipeline,
  ToolRuntimePipeline,
  VerificationPipeline,
  composeReadOnlyAgentEngine,
} from '@mitii/v8';

// Prefer @mitii/sdk for a full client. Direct composition example:
const understandingLlm = new EchoLlmPort();
const runLlm = new EchoLlmPort();
// …inject host ports, then compose AgentEnginePipeline / composeReadOnlyAgentEngine

Module layout

src/
├── engine/
│   ├── agent-engine/        AgentEnginePipeline (run orchestration)
│   └── tool-runtime/        ToolRuntimePipeline (granted tool execution)

    ├── model-gateway/         Echo + OpenAI-compatible LlmPort

Public pipelines

| Module | Pipeline | Input → Output | |--------|----------|----------------| | request-intake | RequestIntakePipeline | CreateUserRequestInputUserRequestEnvelope | | request-understanding | RequestUnderstandingPipeline | envelope → understanding result | | repository-state | RepositoryStatePipeline | candidate → published RepositoryStateReference | | repository-context | RepositoryContextPipeline | state ref + query → context | | decision-policy | DecisionPolicyPipeline | envelope + understanding → ExecutionDecision | | planning | PlanningPipeline | evidence + depth → PlanArtifact | | prompt-construction | PromptConstructionPipeline | decision + context → budgeted ModelRequest | | tool-runtime | ToolRuntimePipeline | authorized call → ToolResult | | verification | VerificationPipeline | change + state + policy → verification result | | agent-engine | AgentEnginePipeline | start request → AgentRunHandle |

Import policy

Import only from the package root (@mitii/v8). Never import another module's internal/ or actions/ paths.

import {
  RequestIntakePipeline,
  DecisionPolicyPipeline,
  AgentEnginePipeline,
  EchoLlmPort,
  OpenAiCompatibleLlmPort,
  MODEL_PROVIDER_SUPPORT,
} from '@mitii/v8';

Architecture

See ARCHITECTURE.md for component boundaries, request flows, storage, security, and an end-to-end example.

Development (monorepo)

pnpm --filter @mitii/v8 typecheck
pnpm --filter @mitii/v8 test
pnpm --filter @mitii/v8 build

pnpm --filter @mitii/v8 test auto-heals better-sqlite3 ABI mismatches (Electron vs system Node). Prefer pnpm run rebuild:native for F5 — it stages the Electron binding and restores Node ABI afterward.
