Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@modular-vue/runtime

v1.4.1

Published

vue-router runtime for @modular-vue modules: createRegistry with module registration, dependency validation, lifecycle hooks, plugin machinery, and manifest resolution.

Readme

@modular-vue/runtime

Runtime registry for @modular-vue modules on vue-router. Collects registered modules, validates their dependencies, runs lifecycle hooks, drives the plugin machinery, and resolves the navigation manifest, slots, and module descriptors.

This is the registry half of the runtime. The router-owning resolve() entry, the Providers context component, the router.addRoute() route-builder, and the auth guard land alongside it in a following release; this package assembles everything that does not need a router or a Vue render tree.

Installation

npm install @modular-vue/runtime

What's included

  • createRegistry(config) — build a registry from stores / services / reactiveServices / slots.
  • registry.register(module) / registry.registerLazy(descriptor) — register eager and lazily-loaded modules.
  • registry.use(plugin) — attach a plugin; its extend surface is intersected onto the returned registry reference, so contributed methods (e.g. a future registerJourney) are typed on the same object.
  • registry.resolveManifest(options?) — resolve all modules into a ResolvedManifest: navigation, slots, modules, moduleDescriptors, plugin extensions (+ the journeys alias), onModuleExit, and recalculateSlots. Idempotent — the first call does the work and caches the result; later calls return it and must pass no options.

Usage

import { createRegistry } from "@modular-vue/runtime";
import { billingModule } from "@myorg/billing";

export const registry = createRegistry<AppDeps, AppSlots>({
  stores: { auth: authStore },
  services: { api },
  slots: { commands: [] },
});

registry.register(billingModule);

export const manifest = registry.resolveManifest();
// manifest.navigation, manifest.slots, manifest.moduleDescriptors, ...

Validation

resolveManifest() runs the shared core validators before assembly:

  • duplicate module IDs throw,
  • modules whose requires are not provided by the registry throw,
  • optionalRequires gaps warn (the module still loads),
  • malformed entry/exit declarations throw.

Registration is locked once resolveManifest() runs — registering a module or attaching a plugin afterwards throws.
