Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Slide thumbnail tile for presentation editors / slideshow navigators

Readme

@molecule/app-slide-thumbnail-react

Slide thumbnail tile for presentation editors / slideshow navigators. Renders a fixed-width clickable tile with an index badge and an "active" outline; the app supplies the scaled-down slide preview as children.

Props: index (1-based, required), active, onClick, aspect ('16/9' | '4/3' | '1/1', default '16/9'), width (px, default 160), className, children.

Auto-generated, AI-first package reference for the molecule.dev ecosystem. It is written to be read by coding agents as much as by people, and is generated from this package's source — edit src/index.ts JSDoc, not this file.

Quick Start

import { SlideThumbnail } from '@molecule/app-slide-thumbnail-react'

interface Slide {
  id: string
  title: string
}

function SlideStrip({
  slides,
  activeIndex,
  onSelect,
}: {
  slides: Slide[]
  activeIndex: number
  onSelect: (index: number) => void
}) {
  return (
    <div style={{ display: 'flex', flexDirection: 'column', gap: 8 }}>
      {slides.map((slide, i) => (
        <SlideThumbnail
          key={slide.id}
          index={i + 1}
          active={i === activeIndex}
          onClick={() => onSelect(i)}
          width={160}
        >
          <span>{slide.title}</span>
        </SlideThumbnail>
      ))}
    </div>
  )
}

API

Interfaces

SlideThumbnailProps

Props for the {@link SlideThumbnail} component.

interface SlideThumbnailProps {
  /** Slide index (1-based). */
  index: number
  /** Live preview content (rendered scaled-down). */
  children?: ReactNode
  /** Whether the thumbnail represents the active slide. */
  active?: boolean
  /** Click handler. */
  onClick?: () => void
  /** Optional aspect ratio (defaults to 16/9). */
  aspect?: '16/9' | '4/3' | '1/1'
  /** Width in pixels. Defaults to 160. */
  width?: number
  /** Extra classes. */
  className?: string
}

Functions

SlideThumbnail(props)

Slide thumbnail tile for presentation editors / slideshow navigators. Apps render the live scaled-down preview as children; this component provides the surrounding chrome (active outline + index label).

function SlideThumbnail({
  index,
  children,
  active,
  onClick,
  aspect = '16/9',
  width = 160,
  className,
}: SlideThumbnailProps): JSX.Element
  • props — Component props (see {@link SlideThumbnailProps}).

Injection Notes

Requirements

Peer dependencies:

  • @molecule/app-i18n ^1.0.1
  • @molecule/app-react ^3.0.0
  • @molecule/app-ui ^1.0.1
  • @molecule/app-ui-react ^3.0.0
  • react ^18.0.0 || ^19.0.0

Runtime Dependencies

  • @molecule/app-i18n

  • @molecule/app-react

  • @molecule/app-ui

  • @molecule/app-ui-react

  • react

  • Requires a wired ClassMap bond (e.g. @molecule/app-ui-tailwind) — getClassMap() throws before bonding.

  • The tile surface is hardcoded white (background: '#fff') so light slide content stays readable, even in dark themes — render your own themed preview inside children if that is wrong for your app.

  • The active outline uses currentColor; set a text color on a parent to control it.

  • The index badge aria-label is currently English-only ("Slide N").
