@monkey-harness/hermes-memo-core
Agent-agnostic Hermes-style memory core shared by the pi agent and
DeepSeek Harness. It owns the entire memory domain; both facades
(@monkey-harness/pi-hermes-memory
and @monkey-harness/dsh-hermes-memory)
are thin ports that call into it.
Ported from pi-hermes-memory
v0.9.6 (MIT, (c) Chandra Teja) with structural adaptations — see NOTICE and
PORT_MAP.md in the repository.
What it owns
- Storage —
MEMORY.md/USER.md/failures.md+ project memory,§-delimited entries with metadata comments and character limits. - Cross-process locking — SQLite lease locks so pi and DSH never clobber each other's writes.
- SQLite search — FTS5 mirror of memories for
memory_search. - Learning-loop engines — review / flush / consolidation / correction,
behind an injected
LlmClient. - Session-indexing engine — generic; each facade supplies a file-format adapter.
- Lossless migration — move an existing
~/.pi/agent/pi-hermes-memorystore into the shared root, with per-file sha256 + SQLite verification.
Storage root
Everything derives from ~/.monkey-harness/hermes-memory (override with
HERMES_MEMO_ROOT or MONKEY_HARNESS_HOME).
