Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

CoinGecko prices and trending coins.

A merged MCP server that consolidates duplicate single-purpose servers in this monorepo into one focused server.

Tools

price — Current price for one coin id, e.g. bitcoin, in a chosen currency.
trending — Coins trending in CoinGecko search over the last 24 hours.
markets — Top coins by market cap with rank and price.
coin — One coin with rank, 24h change, algorithm and categories.
chart — Sampled daily closes for a coin over N days with the period percent change.
global — Total coins and markets plus top-5 dominance shares.
categories — CoinGecko sector categories ranked by market cap, with 24h change and volume.
exchanges — CoinGecko exchange rankings by trust score, with 24h BTC volume and country.
search — Find coin, exchange and category ids on CoinGecko by name or symbol, e.g. solana, aave.
history — Coin price, market cap and volume on a past date, e.g. 20-09-2026.

Run

Premium tools

These tools need a license key:

Buy a key at https://mcp-marketplace.io/server/io-github-mrfentmen-coingecko-mcp and set it in your MCP client config:

"env": { "MCP_LICENSE_KEY": "mcp_live_..." }

The key is checked against MCP Marketplace, cached for 24 hours, and keeps working offline once one check has succeeded. Every other tool on this server stays free.
