Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

NS Dutch Railways API: live departures, station search, journey planning, disruptions, fares.

Setup

export NS_API_KEY=...

Tools

  • get_departures — Live NS departures from a station: times, platforms, train types, disruptions. Station codes like UT (Utrecht), ASD (Amsterdam).
  • search_stations — Find NS stations by name or code: UIC codes, coordinates, synonyms.
  • plan_journey — NS door-to-door journey advice: transfers, platforms, fares, disruptions between stations.
  • get_disruptions — Current NS disruptions and engineering works with affected routes and alternative advice.
  • get_fares — NS fares between two stations: single, return, discount options.

Licence — no paywall

Every tool in this package is free: no licence key, no premium tier, no hosted licence gateway. The paywall machinery this repo once carried (per-tool licence checks and paid hosted endpoints) was removed repo-wide on 2026-10-17. Nothing that this package installs or calls asks you to pay.
