Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Scaffold a new smoke-ui project — Vite + TypeScript, already wired up for JSX with no manual config.

Usage

npm create @n3rdw1z4rd/smoke-ui my-app
cd my-app
npm install
npm run dev

If you don't pass a project name, you'll be prompted for one:

npm create @n3rdw1z4rd/smoke-ui

What you get

A minimal project with:

  • vite.config.ts — pre-configured with the smoke-ui Vite plugin, so JSX just works with no oxc.jsx.importSource block to hand-write.
  • tsconfig.json — jsxImportSource already set for type-checking and editor support.
  • src/main.tsx — a small working example using Signal and computed (a counter with +1/-1 buttons) so you have something running immediately.

Notes

  • This scaffolds files only — it doesn't run npm install for you.
  • Refuses to run into a non-empty directory, so it won't overwrite an existing project by accident.
