Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@nangman-infra/touch-browser-mcp

@nangman-infra/touch-browser-mcp is the npm-distributed local MCP entrypoint for touch-browser.

It is designed for public docs and research web workflows:

  • search for official documentation
  • open the top candidate tabs
  • inspect mainContentQuality and mainContentReason
  • extract evidence-supported or insufficient-evidence claims

This package does not expose headed or search-engine controls over MCP.

Run directly through npx:

First Run

On first launch, the package downloads the matching standalone touch-browser bundle for the current package version from GitHub Releases, verifies the published .sha256, extracts it under:

~/.touch-browser/npm-mcp/versions/

and then starts touch-browser mcp.

Registry Metadata

The MCP Registry metadata lives in server.json in this package directory and is intended for stdio package registration first. Remote MCP hosting is not part of this package yet.
