Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Intellectual Property and Prior Art Patents for Novayug OS Custom Technologies

Readme

⚖️ Legal Status: Prior Art Patent

By publishing this manifesto and the accompanying source code on the NPM registry, the Novayug Core Team formally establishes Prior Art for the systems detailed below. This legally documents the origination of these ideas, preventing external entities from claiming original patents over these specific implementations.

⚙️ Patented Custom Technologies

1. The Desperation Engine™

Concept: A dynamic UI/UX adaptation algorithm that detects when a user is "struggling" or "desperate" based on frantic cursor movements, repeated clicking, or rapid window toggling. Mechanics: Analyzes input vectors over short timeframes. When the entropy threshold is breached, the engine autonomously simplifies the interface, dims non-essential elements, and highlights critical pathways.

2. The BioSync Engine™

Concept: A simulated biological feedback synchronization system. Mechanics: Uses local environmental variables, camera noise (if permitted), and interaction rhythms to generate a "Heartbeat" or "Sync Rate" for the OS, tying the interface's pulsation and animation speeds to the perceived biological state of the operator.

3. The Zero-G Engine™

Concept: A physics-based window and element management system that simulates microgravity. Mechanics: Discards traditional CSS snapping in favor of inertia, momentum, and collision-based bouncing for application windows, creating a frictionless spatial interface.

4. The Quantum Engine™

Concept: Superposition-based rendering of data. Mechanics: Elements exist in multiple visual states simultaneously until directly observed (hovered/focused), at which point the probability wave collapses into a singular, readable UI component.

5. Ghost Protocol™

Concept: An advanced, ephemeral trace-wiping mechanic built into the core OS. Mechanics: Unlike a standard "incognito" mode, Ghost Protocol actively monitors DOM changes, local storage injections, and network requests, sandboxing them dynamically and destroying the container cryptographically upon exit, leaving zero residual memory footprint.

6. Procedural Easing Kinematics (Minecraft Emote Physics)

Concept: Real-time, math-driven skeletal rigging and procedural animation for block-based avatars. Mechanics: Discards pre-baked GLTF animations in favor of Bezier-curve and elastic-bounce mathematical functions (easeOutElastic, easeOutBack) to compute bone rotations per-frame, achieving fluid, cinematic, high-framerate interactions on primitive geometries.

7. Core Sub-Engines

  • Wormhole Manager: Spatial routing that warps components across the screen via visual tunneling rather than simple transitions.
  • Entropy Engine: Introduces controlled chaos and glitch mechanics to the UI based on server load or specific narrative triggers.
  • NovaVoice AI: A specialized voice-synthesis module designed to sound indistinguishable from a sentient OS core.
  • Pulse, Sonar, & Chrono Engines: Temporal and spatial tracking systems that govern the "rhythm" of the operating system.
