Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@niivue/itkwasm-loader

v1.0.2

Published

An loader based on ITK-Wasm image and mesh IO to be used with the NiiVue useLoader method

Readme

itkwasm-loader

The itkwasm-loader is a NiiVue plugin that converts ITK-Wasm image IO-supported volumes into NIfTI volumes and ITK-Wasm mesh IO-supported meshes into MZ3 meshes. It uses the @itk-wasm/image-io and @itk-wasm/mesh-io libraries.

Example image

Example mesh

Installation

npm install @niivue/itkwasm-loader

Usage

Quick Start

import { Niivue } from '@niivue/niivue'
import { useItkWasmLoaders } from '@niivue/itkwasm-loader'

const nv = new Niivue()
await nv.attachToCanvas(document.getElementById('niivue-canvas'))

useItkWasmLoaders(nv)

This will add support for volume and mesh file formats not fully supported by default in NiiVue. To add support for all ITK-Wasm supported formats, call useAllItkWasmLoaders instead of useItkWasmLoaders.

Custom Loaders

You can also create custom loaders for specific file formats using createImageLoader and createMeshLoader:

import { Niivue } from '@niivue/niivue'
import { createImageLoader, createMeshLoader } from '@niivue/itkwasm-loader'

const nv = new Niivue()
await nv.attachToCanvas(document.getElementById('niivue-canvas'))

// Register a custom loader for TIFF images
nv.useLoader(createImageLoader('tif'), 'tif', 'nii')

// Register a custom loader for VTK meshes
nv.useLoader(createMeshLoader('vtk'), 'vtk', 'mz3')

This approach gives you fine-grained control over which formats to support and allows you to selectively register loaders for specific extensions.

See also the NiiVue loader documentation.

Vite Configuration

If you are using Vite, you may need to add the following to your vite.config.js:

import { defineConfig } from 'vite'

export default defineConfig({
  optimizeDeps: {
    exclude: ["itk-wasm", "@itk-wasm/mesh-io", "@itk-wasm/image-io", "@thewtex/zstddec"],
  },
});

Local Browser Development

You can embed this loader into a hot-reloadable NiiVue web page to evaluate integration:

git clone [email protected]:niivue/itkwasm-loader.git
cd itkwasm-loader
npm install
npm run dev

Alternative libraries
