Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

React Native ML Kit — Language Identification

@nitro-mlkit/language-id · on-device Google ML Kit via Nitro Modules — JSI, no bridge.

⚠️ Beta (0.1.0-beta.x). Android verified on-device; iOS builds & links but device runtime is pending — see Platform status.

High-performance, on-device language identification for React Native, built with Nitro Modules (JSI, no bridge).

Powered by Google ML Kit. Detects the language of a piece of text and returns a BCP-47 tag. Text in, tag out — no images, no network.

Installation

npm install @nitro-mlkit/language-id@beta react-native-nitro-modules

No config plugin (autolinked Expo module). Just install and npx expo prebuild. Not available in Expo Go.

Usage
