Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Mockingbird Client

This is a client library for Mockingbird.

Mockingbird is intended as a separate HTTP server with mocked requests while running your normal tests. You'll have to configure your system under test in such a way it directs its requests to the temporary mock server.

Install

yarn add -D @nolemmings/mockingbird @nolemmings/mockingbird-client

or

npm install --save-dev @nolemmings/mockingbird @nolemmings/mockingbird-client

The following is an example in Mocha (which accepts promises as a return value):

By default, mockingbird will be run at http://localhost:5000/tests/e2e. You can configure the port and testId (e2e) in the constructor:

ready()

After registering your expectation call mock.ready() to send them to the mockingbird server and wait until all expectations have been registered at the mockingbird server.

getTest()

Returns the test currently being run registered in the Mockingbird server.

expectAllConsumed()

Returns a promise that fails when an expectation has not been consumed. Ignores expectations that are defined to repeat indefinitely.
