Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

DevExtreme-backed CRUD views for @nubitio/crud — optional drop-in for licensed DevExtreme customers.

Readme

@nubitio/devextreme

Optional DevExtreme-backed grid and form views for @nubitio/crud. Use this package when your team already has a DevExtreme license and wants DataGrid / Form instead of the native Nubit controls.

The CRUD engine (field DSL, adapters, RBAC, routing, shells) stays in @nubitio/crud. This package only swaps the two view implementations.

Install

npm install @nubitio/devextreme @nubitio/crud @nubitio/core @nubitio/ui devextreme devextreme-react

devextreme, devextreme-react, and @nubitio/ui are peer dependencies — install them in your app. DevExtreme requires a valid commercial license.

Setup

Import DevExtreme styles in your app entry (before or after Nubit styles):

import 'devextreme/dist/css/dx.light.css';
import '@nubitio/ui/style.css';
import '@nubitio/crud/style.css';

Wrap CRUD pages with the provider:

import { DevExtremeCrudProvider } from '@nubitio/devextreme';
import { SchemaCrudPage, defineResource, textField } from '@nubitio/crud';

const products = defineResource('/api/products', {
  title: 'Products',
  fields: [textField('name').label('Name')],
});

export function ProductsPage() {
  return (
    <DevExtremeCrudProvider>
      <SchemaCrudPage resource={products} />
    </DevExtremeCrudProvider>
  );
}

CrudPage, SchemaCrudPage, and SmartCrudPage all read the active view pair from CrudViewProvider.

Partial override

Swap only one view if needed:

<DevExtremeCrudProvider views={{ DataGridView: DevExtremeDataGridView }} />

Supported today

| Feature | DevExtreme adapter | |---------|-------------------| | Remote paging / sort | CustomStoreResourceStore | | Server-side filters | convertDxFilterToNubit + per-field buildFilterTerms | | Routing filters (CrudPage URL state) | merged via mergeGridFilters | | Popup CRUD (add/edit/delete) | toolbar + command column | | Inline edit row / cell / batch | Editing + CustomStore.update | | Batch save hook | onBatchSave / GridHandle.saveChanges() | | Dialog form save | useFormSubmit + dxForm | | Master-detail form lines | DevExtremeFormDetailGrid | | Expanded-row grid detail | DevExtremeDetailGridSection via MasterDetail | | File fields | FileUploadField from @nubitio/crud |

Demo

examples/admin-demo includes a Users (DevExtreme) route at /users-dx that wraps CrudPage with DevExtremeCrudProvider and demonstrates master-detail posts per user.

Still native-only

  • Mobile card layout for the main grid
  • html / contentRender custom field renderers
  • Column presets UI (fields still respect visibleColumns)

Extend mapFieldsToDxColumns / mapFieldsToDxFormItems or pass custom components through views for further parity.

License

@nubitio/devextreme is MIT. DevExtreme itself requires a separate commercial license from DevExpress.
