Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

uncle-buck is a compilation of useful functions.

Installing

Using npm:

npm install @nuskin/uncle-buck

Using yarn:

yarn add @nuskin/uncle-buck

Example Usage

const ub = require('@nuskin/uncle-buck')

ub.isJSON('{"abc":true}') // returns true

ub.isNull(null) // returns true

ub.isObject('{"abc":true}') // returns false

ub.isString('my string') // returns true

ub.nvl(null,0)  // returns 0

isJSON(str) ⇒ Boolean

isJSON tests if str is valid JSON.

Returns: Boolean - Returns true if string is valid JSON

isNull(n) ⇒ Boolean

isNull tests if n is null or undefined.

nvl(n, (*)) ⇒ *

nvl lets you replace null or undefined with a value of your choice. If n is null or undefined, then nvl returns val. If n is not null or undefined, then nvl returns n.
