Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Frozen OpenUI renderer runtime bundle for Nuwax (sidecar / file preview).

Nuwax OpenUI Runtime

@nuwax-ai/openui-runtime ships the frozen static OpenUI renderer bundle (dist/runtime.js + dist/runtime.css) used by the Nuwax host for sidecar and file-preview rendering.

It is intentionally separate from the MCP server package (@nuwax-ai/openui-mcp):

  • The MCP server is the small, fast-starting stdio process agents spawn. It must stay lean, so it does not carry this multi-megabyte renderer bundle.
  • This package holds the heavy bundle (React, react-dom, the OpenUI component library, charts, syntax highlighting) inlined into a single self-contained runtime.js. It is never imported as a module — the host copies the static files into public/static/openui-runtime/.

The bundle is fully self-contained: every dependency is a devDependency (build-time only). There are no runtime dependencies.

Build

pnpm install
pnpm --filter @nuwax-ai/openui-runtime build

Produces dist/runtime.js and dist/runtime.css. The runtime is intentionally pure: it speaks only standard window.parent.postMessage and carries no web-view JSSDK or bridge logic — all uni-app x / 小程序 bridging lives in the host entry index.html (see Consuming).

Consuming (Nuwax host)

Run the host's pnpm sync:openui-runtime, which resolves this package and copies dist/{runtime.js,runtime.css} into public/static/openui-runtime/.

The runtime emits OPENUI_* only via window.parent.postMessage. The host-maintained entry index.html adapts that to the environment: in real iframes (PC web / H5) the parent receives the postMessage directly; in a top-level webview (App / 小程序, window.parent === window) it loads the official /static/uni.webview.1.5.5.js (the single JSSDK copy, kept in the nuwax repo — not shipped by this package) and runs a small bootstrap relay that forwards those messages to <web-view> @message via uni.webView.postMessage. This package stays free of any uni-webview coupling. The compact theme is shared from @nuwax-ai/openui-mcp/compact-theme. Form default-value sync (@nuwax-ai/openui-mcp/form-field-sync) is applied in RuntimeApp before the mobile-aware library so RadioGroup / Slider required validation matches the UI selected state.
