Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@oge-ui/gantt-engine

The framework-free engine behind the OGE UI Gantt chart. Plain TypeScript, shipped as ESM + CJS, with no dependency on Angular, React or any other framework — the one implementation both render layers run:

You normally do not install this package yourself: each render package depends on it and re-exports its public types, so npm install @oge-ui/gantt or npm install @oge-ui/react-gantt is the whole setup.

Commercial. Like the Gantt packages themselves, this engine is source-available commercial software — free for evaluation and development, paid for production. See LICENSE and https://www.ogeui.com/license.

What's inside

  • The kernel — the task-tree model with *Expr field mapping (names, dotted paths, getters), summary roll-ups and storage-shape-preserving write-back (buildGanttTasks, ganttTaskPatch); dependency links with cycle detection; calendar-true hour/day/week/month time scales; forward auto-scheduling honoring FS/SS/FF/SF on work calendars; the critical-path backward pass; orthogonal dependency routing; resource workload segments; the move/resize/progress gesture math.
  • OgeGanttCore — the whole controller: working-set stores and snapshot undo/redo, the derived bars/arrows/scale/workload view models, row virtualization, the cancelable editing pipelines (task and dependency CRUD, indent/outdent, auto-scheduling), the treegrid keyboard map, the pointer gestures with Escape-cancel (on @oge-ui/behavior's shared beginPointerGesture), the weekend-day resolution, the context-menu model and every label and live-region announcement. It takes an OgeReactivityAdapter from @oge-ui/behavior — Angular backs it with signals, React with a versioned store.
  • Config and messages — OGE_DEFAULT_GANTT_CONFIG, OGE_DEFAULT_GANTT_MESSAGES and resolveGanttConfig, which both provideOgeGanttConfig() and <OgeGanttConfigProvider> resolve through.
  • Export builders — separate entry points with optional peers, so only an app that exports pays for the library:
    • @oge-ui/gantt-engine/export-excel → buildGanttExcelWorkbook (exceljs),
    • @oge-ui/gantt-engine/export-pdf → buildGanttPdfDocument (jspdf; Unicode text through an OgePdfFont),
    • @oge-ui/gantt-engine/export-image → buildGanttCanvas (no dependency).

Every module has a spec beside it; src/index.spec.ts guards the barrel, which is both render layers' import surface.
