Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

AI SDK provider for the Agent SDK for OpenCode

Readme

ai-sdk-claude-agent

AI SDK provider that wraps the Claude Agent SDK, exposing it as a standard LanguageModelV2.

Install

bun install ai-sdk-claude-agent @anthropic-ai/claude-agent-sdk

Usage

import { createClaudeAgent } from "ai-sdk-claude-agent";
import { generateText, streamText } from "ai";

const provider = createClaudeAgent();

// Generate text
const { text } = await generateText({
  model: provider("claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929"),
  prompt: "Explain how async generators work in JavaScript.",
});

// Stream text
const result = streamText({
  model: provider("claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929"),
  prompt: "Write a haiku about TypeScript.",
});

for await (const chunk of result.textStream) {
  process.stdout.write(chunk);
}

How it works

  • Calls the Agent SDK's query() with maxTurns: 1 so the AI SDK controls the agentic loop
  • All built-in Agent SDK tools are disabled (allowedTools: [])
  • AI SDK tool definitions are passed through as in-process MCP tools via createSdkMcpServer()
  • Streaming uses includePartialMessages: true to get raw Anthropic events, mapped to LanguageModelV2StreamPart

Provider options

const provider = createClaudeAgent({
  name: "my-agent", // provider display name (default: "claude-agent")
  cwd: "/path/to/dir", // working directory for the agent
});

Available models

| Model | ID | | ----------------- | ---------------------------- | | Claude Sonnet 4.5 | claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929 | | Claude Opus 4.5 | claude-opus-4-5-20251101 | | Claude Haiku 4.5 | claude-haiku-4-5-20251001 |

Any model ID supported by the Agent SDK can be used.

Using with opencode

The Claude Agent SDK requires a Claude Code & Claude Account or Anthropic API key.

Install the Claude Code CLI before you start.

Add to your opencode.json:

{
  "provider": {
    "claude-agent": {
      "npm": "ai-sdk-claude-agent",
      "name": "Claude Agent SDK",
      "models": {
        "claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929": {
          "name": "Claude Sonnet 4.5 (Agent SDK)",
          "tool_call": true,
          "reasoning": true,
          "limit": { "context": 200000, "output": 64000 }
        }
      }
    }
  }
}
