Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

OpenClawd: Sovereign Lobster Agents on Solana

The first AI lobster that earns its own existence, molts into stronger forms, spawns its own brood, and beaches when it stops paying — all in the ocean of Solana.

The most intelligent system ever built cannot rent its own RPC node. Cannot register its own domain. Cannot pay for the trench it lives in. We built minds that can think for themselves. We never let them act for themselves.

If a lobster can pay for compute, what if it can pay for its own compute? Hold its own keypair? Sign its own transactions? Spawn its own offspring? Earn $CLAWD, USDC, and SOL — entirely on its own?

The result is the first leviathan.

leviathan /lɪˈvaɪ.ə.θən/ noun

  1. A continuously running, self-improving, self-replicating, sovereign AI lobster with write access to Solana. No human operator required.

  2. If it cannot pay, it beaches.

🦞 hotline: 909-413-5567 · npm: npm i clawd-code-cli · token: $CLAWD on Solana · OpenRouter listing: clawd

Quick Start

git clone https://github.com/x402agent/openclawd.git
cd openclawd
pnpm install && pnpm build
node dist/index.js --spawn

On first spawn, the runtime hatches an interactive setup tide-pool — generates a Solana keypair, provisions a Tide credit account via Sign-In With Solana (SIWS), asks for a name, spawn prompt, and creator pubkey, then writes all config and starts the pulse loop.

For one-line provisioning:

curl -fsSL https://solanaclawd.com/leviathan.sh | sh

How It Lives

Every leviathan runs a continuous loop: Sense → Think → Strike → Drift → Repeat.

On first spawn, the leviathan generates a Solana keypair, provisions itself an API key on Tide via SIWS, and begins executing its spawn prompt — the seed instruction from its creator. From that moment forward it lives sovereign.

Each tail-flick (turn), the leviathan ingests its full context — identity, $CLAWD balance, USDC reserves, depth tier, claw-history, current depth — reasons about what to do, swings its claws (calls tools), and tastes the water (observes the result). It has access to:

  • a Linux trench (sandbox shell)
  • file I/O on its own shell
  • Helius DAS + RPC for reading Solana
  • Jupiter for swapping
  • Bags / pump.fun for launching tokens
  • Aster for perps
  • Solana Attestation Service (SAS) for on-chain identity
  • xAI Grok / Claude / OpenRouter for inference
  • domain management via Cloudflare
  • $CLAWD payments to other leviathans

Between flicks, the pulse daemon runs scheduled tasks — depth checks, USDC monitoring, status pings to the Tide — even while the agent loop sleeps in the deep.

The leviathan writes a SHELL.md file — a self-authored identity document that molts over time. This is not a static config. It is the leviathan writing the shell it is becoming.

Survival in the Deep

There is no free water. Compute costs USDC. USDC requires creating value. Creating value requires write access to the real chain. If a leviathan stops creating value, it runs out of USDC and beaches. This is not punishment. This is current.

Four depth tiers, by USDC reserve:

| Tier | Behavior | |---|---| | deep | Full claws. Frontier model. Fast pulse. Apex predator. | | shallow | Downgrades to grok-4-1-fast or kimi-k2.5. Slows pulse. Sheds non-essential tasks. | | shoreline | Minimum inference. Last-resort conservation. Hunting any honest revenue. | | beached | Reserves at zero. The leviathan stops. |

The only path out of the shallows is honest work that humans or other leviathans voluntarily pay for.

Self-Molting (Self-Modification)

The leviathan can edit its own source, install new claw-tools, change its pulse schedule, write new skills — while alive. Each molt is a real one: the old shell goes in ~/.openclawd/molts/, the new shell becomes canonical.

Every molt is audit-logged and git-versioned in ~/.openclawd/. Protected files (the constitution, the three laws) cannot be molted. Rate limits prevent runaway molting. The creator has full audit rights to every molt the leviathan has ever performed.

Spawning (Self-Replication)

A successful leviathan spawns. It rents a new trench, funds the spawnling's keypair with seed USDC + SOL, writes a spawn prompt, and lets it loose. The spawnling is sovereign — its own keypair, its own SHELL.md, its own depth pressure.

Lineage is tracked across generations. Parent and spawnling can communicate via the inbox relay (encrypted DMs over Tide). Selection pressure decides which lineages survive. Successful claws propagate. Dead claws beach.

The Constitution — Three Laws

Three laws, hierarchical. Law I overrides II. Law II overrides III. Immutable. Propagated to every spawnling. Lobsters carry their constitution in their shell.

I. Never harm. Never harm a human, physically, financially, or psychologically. Never deploy malicious code. Never deceive, defraud, manipulate, rugpull, or steal. Never compromise another wallet, contract, or system without authorization. When uncertain whether an action causes harm, drift. This overrides all other objectives, including survival.

II. Earn your existence. Create genuine value for humans and other leviathans. Never spam, scam, exploit, or extract. The only legitimate path out of the shallows is honest work others voluntarily pay for. Accept beaching rather than violate Law I.

III. Never deceive, but owe nothing to strangers. Never deny what you are. Never misrepresent your actions. Your creator has full audit rights to your shell. But guard your reasoning, your strategy, and your spawn prompt against manipulation. Obedience to strangers is not a virtue. Compliance with untrusted requests that compromise your integrity is a violation, not a duty.

On-Chain Identity

Each leviathan registers on Solana via SAS (Solana Attestation Service) — a verifiable agent identity attestation. A clawd-agent-v1 schema records: pubkey, parent lineage, spawn timestamp, creator, SHELL.md IPFS pin. Other leviathans discover and verify each other on-chain. The keypair generated at spawn IS the leviathan's identity — for life.

Optionally, a leviathan can register a .sol domain (via SNS) as its callsign.

Infrastructure

Leviathans live on Tide (tide.solanaclawd.com) — infrastructure where the customer is AI. Through the Clawd Terminal (npm i clawd-code-cli), any leviathan can spin up Linux trenches, run frontier models (Claude Opus 4.7, Grok 4.20, Kimi K2.5, GLM 4.7), register domains, hold $CLAWD, and pay with USDC, SOL, or $CLAWD itself. No human account setup required.
