Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@openmule/n8n-nodes-workspace

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use MuleRun Workspace file operations in your n8n workflows.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

For n8n Cloud users, you can install this node directly from your n8n instance by navigating to Settings > Community Nodes and searching for @openmule/n8n-nodes-workspace.

For self-hosted n8n instances, you can install via npm:

npm install @openmule/n8n-nodes-workspace

After installation, restart your n8n instance to load the new node.

Operations

This node currently supports the following operations:

File Operations

  • Upload: Upload one or more files to MuleRun Workspace storage
    • Support for multiple file uploads in a single operation
    • Configurable file paths/folder and metadata
    • Automatic handling of file data from previous nodes
    • Get presigned_url for the uploaded file

Credentials

To use this node, you need to set up MuleRun API credentials.

Prerequisites

A MuleRun Creator account.

Setting up Authentication

  1. In your n8n instance, go to Credentials > New
  2. Search for MuleRun API
  3. Configure the following fields:
    • Creator API Key: Your MuleRun API key (can be obtained from your MuleRun Creator Studio)
    • Base URL: The base URL for your MuleRun instance (default: https://mulerun.com)
  4. Click Test to verify your credentials
  5. Save the credential

Usage

Basic File Upload

  1. Add the MuleRun node to your workflow
  2. Click Upload file to MuleRun Actions
  3. Select File as the resource
  4. Choose Upload as the operation
  5. Configure your file source (from a previous node or binary data)
  6. Set the destination path/folder in MuleRun Workspace File Driver
  7. Execute the workflow

You can also enable file size limit and extension filter. You can get the presigned_url for the uploaded files from the output JSON response.
