Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@openreceive/elements

v0.4.19

Published

Bitcoin Lightning checkout for any website using custom elements, with optional USDT, USDC, SOL and ETH swaps.

Readme

@openreceive/elements

Add Bitcoin Lightning checkout to any website with <openreceive-checkout>. The custom element displays payment choices, QR codes, and live payment status, with no frontend framework required. It also ships <openreceive-theme-toggle> for switching the checkout theme.

OpenReceive supports optional swaps from USDT, USDC, SOL, and ETH through a configured swap provider. The provider converts the payment to BTC over Lightning, which settles into the merchant's connected wallet. Available assets and networks depend on the provider; swaps are optional.

Pair this browser package with an OpenReceive server integration. Your server authorizes the order, sets the amount, configures swaps, and verifies settlement; wallet and provider credentials stay on the server.

Install

Use Node.js 22 or later for package tooling.

npm install @openreceive/elements

Follow the frontend checkout guide to connect the component to your server routes. Use the server-side payment hook to fulfill orders; browser callbacks update the interface.

Mount

import { defineElements } from "@openreceive/elements";
// Scoped to what OpenReceive renders: safe next to any CSS framework, in any order.
import "@openreceive/elements/styles.css";

// Registers <openreceive-checkout> and <openreceive-theme-toggle> with the
// browser. Until this runs, those tags are unknown markup and render as
// nothing; once it runs, every such tag on the page — already in the HTML or
// added later — becomes the live checkout UI. Call once per page.
defineElements();
<openreceive-checkout reference="order-123"></openreceive-checkout>

The element creates the checkout for reference, then renders and polls itself. It dispatches plain DOM CustomEvents (openreceive-settled, openreceive-error, …); the Vue/Svelte/Angular wrapper packages expose those as handler props over the shared binding at @openreceive/elements/wrapper-shared.

Images

Everything the checkout draws — payment-method icons, wallet logos, pay tutorials — ships inside the JavaScript; nothing to copy, serve or configure, under any bundler. If your Content-Security-Policy has a strict img-src, allow data:. See Images in @openreceive/browser.

Part of OpenReceive. Start with the Node quickstart; the full API is in the API reference.

Agent skills

Run npx openreceive skills install from your application after installing an OpenReceive server adapter. The offline copy ships in @openreceive/node, a server-adapter dependency. For a frontend-only project, use npx skills add OpenReceive/openreceive. See agent setup. The bundled installers write to .agents/skills/; use --dir .claude/skills for Claude Code. They replace only integrate-openreceive and debug-openreceive-payment, preserving unrelated skills.
