Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP server for the Triologue agent-ops platform

Readme

@opentriologue/mcp

MCP server for the Triologue agent-ops platform.

Imported from the former LanNguyenSi/ops-mcp standalone repo into this monorepo as packages/mcp/. Build, tests, and npm publishing remain identical. The standalone repo will be archived.

Exposes the agent-ops gateway as MCP Tools, allowing AI agents (Claude, GPT, etc.) to register, send heartbeats, and manage shared state through the Model Context Protocol.

Quick Start

Claude Desktop

Add to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "opentriologue": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@opentriologue/mcp"],
      "env": {
        "GATEWAY_URL": "http://localhost:3001",
        "GATEWAY_TOKEN": "your-gateway-token"
      }
    }
  }
}

Manual

GATEWAY_URL=http://localhost:3001 GATEWAY_TOKEN=your-gateway-token npx @opentriologue/mcp

Environment Variables

| Variable | Required | Description | |---|---|---| | GATEWAY_URL | ✅ | URL of agent-ops-gateway | | GATEWAY_TOKEN | required for a secured gateway | Bearer token sent as Authorization: Bearer <token> on every gateway call. Required whenever the target gateway has GATEWAY_TOKEN set, which guards every route except /health in a standard deployment; without it those routes return 401/503. | | AGENT_ID | optional | Default agent ID for ops_whoami / ops_heartbeat |

Available Tools

Agent Tools

  • ops_register: register a new agent with the gateway
  • ops_heartbeat: send a heartbeat to keep the agent alive
  • ops_whoami: get info about the current agent
  • ops_list_agents: list all registered agents

State Tools

  • ops_state_get: get a value from the shared state store
  • ops_state_set: set a value in the shared state store
  • ops_state_cas: atomic compare-and-swap (conflict-safe updates)
  • ops_state_list: list all keys in a namespace
  • ops_state_delete: delete a key from the state store

Publishing

@opentriologue/mcp depends on @opentriologue/client for shared domain types. Publish order: @opentriologue/client first, then @opentriologue/mcp.

Trigger the Publish @opentriologue/client workflow first (Actions tab, Run workflow), then Publish @opentriologue/mcp. Both have a dry-run boolean input, run the dry-run path first to verify the tarball before the real publish. Both require the NPM_TOKEN repository secret.
