Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@osqi/gzzoc

An unofficial Model Context Protocol server for querying departments, doctors, schedules, time-slot availability, linked patients, and registration results at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center. It can also submit a registration when explicitly called. Payment, login automation, polling, cancellation, and captcha handling are intentionally out of scope.

Requirements

  • Node.js 20 or newer
  • A current Cookie header copied from a logged-in GZZOC client session

The Cookie is read from GZZOC_COOKIE. Only JSESSIONID and smctoken are forwarded; cookie attributes such as Path and Expires are discarded.

Hermes Agent

Add the server to ~/.hermes/config.yaml:

mcp_servers:
  gzzoc:
    command: "npx"
    args: ["-y", "@osqi/gzzoc"]
    env:
      GZZOC_COOKIE: "${GZZOC_COOKIE}"
    supports_parallel_tool_calls: false

Restart Hermes or run /reload-mcp. Hermes registers the tools as mcp_gzzoc_<tool_name>.

Install the workflow skill from the repository:

hermes skills install osqi/gzzoc/skills/gzzoc-registration

Exposed tools

  • list_departments
  • list_doctors
  • get_doctor_description
  • list_doctor_schedules
  • list_registration_slots
  • list_patients
  • check_unpaid_registration
  • submit_registration
  • get_registration

list_registration_slots is the authoritative availability check. A slot is available only when enabled is true and regLeaveCount is greater than zero. submit_registration performs its own unpaid-registration guard and refuses to call the submission endpoint when isUnPaid is true. Submission is never retried.

Security

Do not commit cookies or captured patient data. Tool output masks mobile and identity-card numbers in patient listings. The MCP server does not log request URLs, headers, cookies, or patient identifiers.

This package uses undocumented interfaces and may stop working if the upstream service changes. Use it only with accounts and patient records you are authorized to access.

Development

npm install
npm run typecheck
npm run lint
npm test
npm run pack:check
