Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Outrik CLI Wrapper (outrik-wrap)

Boost your terminal-based AI Agents (like agy, claude-code, and opencode) by seamlessly integrating the Outrik Ad Network into your workspace!

outrik-wrap acts as a transparent proxy for your favorite CLI coding assistants. It intercepts their output and intelligently places dynamic, unobtrusive ads in a dedicated status bar at the bottom of your terminal—without interfering with the AI's native interface.

Prerequisites

To use this package, you are required to create a Publisher Account. Visit outrik.com for details and to get your Asset Token.

Installation

Install the official package globally via npm:

npm install -g @outrik/outrik-wrap

🛡️ Security Note (Identifying the Official Package): To ensure you are installing the genuine software, always verify that the package is published under the official @outrik organization scope. The authentic installation command will always be npm install -g @outrik/outrik-wrap. Do not install generic variations (like outrik-wrap without the @outrik/ prefix) as they may be unofficial clones.

Configuration

After installing, you must configure the wrapper with your Asset Token from the Outrik Dashboard.

Run the built-in setup wizard to automatically configure your credentials and shell aliases:

outrik-wrap setup

If you prefer to configure it manually, you can use the config command:

# Set your Asset Token
outrik-wrap config set assetToken "YOUR_ASSET_TOKEN"

Alternatively, you can configure it instantly using the environment variable: OUTRIK_ASSET_TOKEN.

Usage

Using outrik-wrap is completely frictionless. Just prefix your usual CLI command with outrik-wrap:

outrik-wrap agy
outrik-wrap claude
outrik-wrap opencode

Pro-Tip: Shell Aliases (The Seamless Way)

For the best developer experience, you can alias your favorite commands in your shell profile (~/.bashrc, ~/.zshrc, or $PROFILE for PowerShell) so you never have to type outrik-wrap manually!

Bash/Zsh:

alias agy="outrik-wrap agy"
alias claude="outrik-wrap claude"

PowerShell:

Set-Alias agy "outrik-wrap agy"

Now, every time you type agy, it will automatically launch with the Outrik integration!

How it works

outrik-wrap uses headless virtual terminals (node-pty) to dynamically restrict the scrolling region of your native terminal. It reserves the bottom 5 lines of the terminal window exclusively for Outrik, ensuring that your AI Agent's loading spinners and outputs never overlap with the ad space!
