Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@pelatform/starter

Umbrella package that re-exports every Pelatform Starter Kit package in a single install — UI components, feature components, core utilities, auth React Query bindings, and server-side helpers.

Version License

What's inside

@pelatform/starter aggregates these packages so you can install one dependency instead of five:

| Re-exports | Source package | Use for | | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | . | @pelatform/starter.components | Feature components (account, admin, auth, apikey, workspace) | | ./ui | @pelatform/starter.ui | 80+ UI primitives (Button, Card, Dialog, …) | | ./ui/hooks | @pelatform/starter.ui/hooks | Client-side React hooks from the UI layer | | ./core/hooks | @pelatform/starter.core/hooks | Client-side React hooks (useConfig, useWorkspace, …) | | ./auth, ./auth/lib, ./auth/server, ./auth/types | @pelatform/starter.auth | React Query bindings for Better Auth | | ./core, ./core/config, ./core/db, ./core/i18n, ./core/mail | @pelatform/starter.core | Config types, DB helpers, i18n, mail, types | | ./extends | @pelatform/starter.components/extends | Fonts, icons, social providers, shared types | | ./server | @pelatform/starter (server helpers) | Auth guards, locale, workspace server utils | | ./css | Tailwind @source stylesheet | CSS import for Tailwind v4 scanning | | ./i18n/{ar,de,en,id,zh}/* | Locale JSON message bundles | Translations for 5 languages |

Install

bun add @pelatform/starter

This pulls in everything. If you only need a subset (e.g. just UI primitives for a marketing site), install the individual packages instead:

bun add @pelatform/starter.ui # just UI components
bun add @pelatform/starter.auth # just auth hooks
bun add @pelatform/starter.core # just core utilities

Quick start

import { Button, Card, AccountSettings, useConfig } from "@pelatform/starter";

export function App() {
  return (
    <Card>
      <AccountSettings />
      <Button variant="primary">Save</Button>
    </Card>
  );
}

CSS

Import the stylesheet once in your root layout:

import "@pelatform/starter/css";

Peer dependencies

This package inherits the union of all peer dependencies from the packages it re-exports. See each source package's package.json for the full list. At minimum you'll need:

  • react >= 18 (or 19 RC)
  • react-dom >= 18 (or 19 RC)
  • better-auth >= 1.6.0
  • @tanstack/react-query >= 5.100.0
  • next >= 15 (for app-router components)
  • next-intl, next-themes, lucide-react, radix-ui, class-variance-authority
