Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Web search and fetch tools for the pi coding agent, backed by @peron_js/web-cli.

Install

pi install npm:@peron_js/web-pi

Tools

  • web_search — search the web, returning a numbered Markdown list of results
  • web_fetch — fetch a URL directly and return its main content as Markdown, or set render to load it in a headless browser (slow; for JavaScript-only pages). Output is truncated to 2000 lines or 50KB; when truncated, the full Markdown is saved to a temporary file and its path is returned. Image URLs come back as image attachments

Both honor the HTTP_PROXY / HTTPS_PROXY / NO_PROXY environment variables and support cancellation. In the TUI each result collapses to a summary line, plus the saved file path when a fetch was truncated; expand it to see the titles or the fetched Markdown.
