Native sessions

Searches use the active native session workspace, or the harness launch directory when no runtime exists. Session, manager, session ID, or cwd changes clear the last report. A pending search rejects on a session change or cancellation instead of returning or caching stale results; retained tools reject after plugin disposal. Bounded source reads observe cancellation between their open, metadata and 64 KiB chunk boundaries; an individual filesystem operation already in flight must settle first.

Incomplete results

Results are bounded by file, traversal, and match limits. When a limit truncates the scan or files are skipped (for example, oversized or unreadable sources), both the model-visible tool text and the web panel warn that additional matches may be missing. A zero-match partial scan does not prove a symbol is absent. Structured details retain the collected matches and scanned/skipped counts.
